Enrollment is free and typically takes less than 20 minutes to complete.

Efficiency on Arrival: Mobile Passport Control (MPC)

I also want to highlight a free, often overlooked tool for your return to the US: Mobile Passport Control (MPC). I've used MPC many times and it works. It's efficient and free!

While the current landscape for Global Entry lanes has seen occasional "spotty" availability due to administrative shifts, the official MPC app has remained a remarkably reliable and "fully operational" alternative at most major U.S. airports and cruise ports. So if you don't have Global Entry or if the lanes are closed, try MPC!

• Speed: Skip the standard lines for a dedicated (and usually much shorter) MPC queue.

• Convenience: Complete your customs declaration and required "selfie" right from your phone while your plane is taxiing to the gate.
