The Livingstone is located in Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, so animals can walk freely onto the property and intermingle with the guests. I loved seeing the animals during my stay. It was like walking around in a dream! On the way to afternoon tea, I saw three giraffes walking towards me on the sidewalk. When I walked to the Anantara Spa, zebras and impalas were grazing or relaxing on the grass. 

The vibe at the Royal Livingstone is sophisticated and timeless; blending modern luxury with colonial charm. I stayed in a Junior Suite overlooking the Zambezi. It was spacious with impeccable furnishings and classic decor. I loved how the style incorporated the natural textures of the surrounding area. I had a private, furnished patio -- perfect for sipping my morning tea while my neighbors (a family of impalas) greeted me every day. 

One of several memorable moments was dining under the stars with one of the world's greatest attractions serving as a backdrop. Experiencing their farm-to-table journey was a culinary highlight. Every dish looked like a work of art and tasted even better! I enjoyed tasting local, exquisite flavors with the beauty of the jungle surrounding us. 

I'd suggest 4-5 night post-safari extension at The Royal Livingstone for relaxation, incredible access to Vic Falls, fantastic spa, gourmet food, and exceptional service. Getting to the Royal Livingstone is convenient from your safari destinations. You can fly nonstop each day from Nairobi, Jo-Burg, and Maun.
